Information we collect

• Account information such as email address, authentication state, workspace membership, and settings.
• Billing and subscription metadata needed to manage paid access, hours, invoices, renewals, cancellations, and refunds.
• Uploaded media, generated transcripts, subtitles, review metadata, exports, and processing artifacts created when you use the service.
• Usage, diagnostics, security, and product analytics data needed to operate, protect, debug, and improve Sayanara.

How we use information

• Provide transcription, subtitle export, timeline search, review, and content-safety functionality.
• Operate private user libraries and workspace access controls.
• Process subscriptions, billing events, support requests, and account notices.
• Monitor reliability, security, abuse prevention, and product quality.

User media and transcripts

• User media is processed to provide requested product functionality.
• Sayanara does not sell user media, transcripts, subtitles, or private library content.
• User libraries are not public video pages and are not operated as a marketplace.
• Users are responsible for uploading only content they own or are authorized to process.

Processors and infrastructure

We may use cloud infrastructure, storage, transcription, payment, email, analytics, and security providers to operate the service. Payment providers may process checkout, tax, invoicing, subscription, refund, and anti-fraud information under their own terms and policies.

Retention and deletion

• Uploaded source media is deleted within hours of a job completing successfully; we do not retain your originals long-term.
• Live-stream media is not stored for download — only a short recovery copy (a few hours) is kept and then deleted — while the live-stream processing results (detection records and transcripts) are retained with your account until you delete it.
• Processed results and transcripts are retained for 7 days on the Free plan and 30 days on paid plans, then automatically and irreversibly deleted. Upgrading extends the retention of your existing deliverables to the paid term; downgrading never shortens it.
• Deletion is permanent — we keep no backups that would let us restore content after the retention window.
• On account deletion we erase your media and other people’s personal data, while retaining a minimal identity record (for legal, fraud, and abuse-prevention purposes) and financial records required by law; content under a legal hold may be preserved.

Children and illegal content

Sayanara is not intended for children. Illegal, exploitative, non-consensual, or child sexual abuse material is strictly forbidden and will be reported and removed. Sayanara reserves the right to block accounts when we detect violations of law or platform rules.
