Terms of service.
Effective date: May 16, 2026. These terms govern access to and use of Sayanara. By creating an account, purchasing access, or using the service, you agree to these terms.
Service
Sayanara is the product and business brand for a private SaaS platform that processes user-uploaded audio and video. The service provides transcription, subtitle export, timeline search, review exports, and content-safety analysis for media that users own or are authorized to process.
Account responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining access to your account, keeping credentials secure, and ensuring that all media and data you upload may be lawfully processed by you. You may not use Sayanara for illegal content, abuse, infringement, harassment, exploitation, fraud, or attempts to bypass technical, billing, or usage restrictions.
Private user content
User libraries are private processing workspaces. Sayanara does not sell user content, operate a public video marketplace, enable third-party sellers, or publish user media as a public hosting destination. Uploaded media remains the responsibility of the uploading user or organization.
User content license
You keep your rights in uploaded media, transcripts, subtitles, exports, and related workspace content. You grant Sayanara the limited rights needed to host, process, transmit, store, analyze, and display that content only as necessary to provide, secure, support, and improve the service.
Prohibited use
You may not use Sayanara for unlawful, non-consensual, exploitative, fraudulent, or abusive activity, or to process child sexual abuse material or other content whose processing violates applicable law. Users are responsible for ensuring they have the rights and authority needed to upload, process, export, and use their media. Sayanara may suspend or terminate access when necessary to prevent abuse, fraud, chargeback risk, or legal risk.
Billing and monthly credits
Sayanara may provide onboarding credits and may sell subscription access to monthly processing credits or audio-hour equivalents. Subscription credits are intended for the applicable billing period, do not roll over, and may expire according to the plan terms shown at checkout. Taxes, final checkout totals, renewal terms, and payment details are shown before payment.
Payment processing
When paid checkout is enabled, orders may be processed by an authorized online reseller or payment provider acting as merchant of record for Sayanara. That provider handles checkout, applicable taxes, invoicing, and may handle certain billing inquiries, cancellations, and returns under its own terms.
Cancellations and refunds
Subscription cancellation stops future renewals but does not automatically refund the current billing period unless required by law or approved under the refund policy. Refund requests are handled under the Refund Policy published on this website and through the payment provider where applicable.
Data retention and deletion
Uploaded source media is deleted within hours of successful processing; processed results and transcripts are kept for 7 days on the Free plan or 30 days on paid plans and then permanently deleted, with no backups that could restore them. Upgrading extends the retention of existing deliverables to the paid term; downgrading never shortens it. Live-stream media is not stored for download, and live-stream processing results are retained with your account until you delete it. Account deletion erases your content and other people’s personal data, while a minimal identity record and legally required financial records are retained, and content under a legal hold may be preserved. Availability and changes
Sayanara is in alpha. Features, limits, pricing, credit values, hour values, and availability may change as the product is improved. Visual and advanced content-safety modules may be marked as coming soon while they are optimized for production use.
Limitation of liability
Sayanara is provided as software tooling and does not replace legal, editorial, compliance, or professional review. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sayanara is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from use of the service.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as the product, billing model, payment provider setup, or legal requirements change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
